The Committee
Chairman
Ian Trumble
Ian is an archaeologist currently working as a curator based at Bolton Museum. He earned his honours degree in archaeology at The University of Manchester and his masters degree in landscape archaeology at The University of Sheffield.
Ian became chair in 2013, and is also secretary of CBA North-West Industrial Archaeology panel, on the committee for Wigan Archaeology Society and a leader at Manchester Young Archaeologists Club.
Secretary
Laura Murray
Laura did a joint honours degree in History and Archaeology and a masters degree in Museum studies. She is currently working at Bolton Museum documenting its varied collections.
Membership Secretary
Christine Caulfield
Chris has organised all new members for the society since 2014.
Treasurer
Barbara Elms
Barbara has a head for numbers and has kept society accounts in order since 2014.
Media Officer
James Parr
James has a BA degree in Egyptology, and is currently studying for a MA in Egyptology with the University of Manchester, James runs our Blog and website

Bolton Archaeology and Egyptology Society are a local interest group that aims to generate enthusiasm in these fantastic subjects.
We meet once a month for lectures on a variety of topics.
