Bolton AES Lecture - Broadfield Park Slopes

21st April 2026 - 7.30 pm

In person only this time – no Zoom.

Speaker:

Jordan Perris - Archaeological Project Management Apprentice, Rochdale Development Agency

This month we will be joined by our own Jordan Perris,  who will be discussing the ongoing community archaeology programme out in Rochdale as part of the restoration of the Broadfield Park Slopes.

The NLHF funded project has undertaken an ambitious community archaeology and heritage programme which has engaged thousands of people from the local area through excavations, events, volunteer programmes and more.

Jordan will be discussing some of the findings from the excavations and the historical background of the area as well as the ongoing programme and how you can get involved!

About the speaker

A graduate in Ancient History and Archaeology from Manchester University, Jordan now works at the Rochdale Development Agency as an Archaeological Project Management Apprentice.
