In-theme for our Christmas party, Joyce gave us a talk on “Party Time in Ancient Egypt!” plus we had food and the Chairman’s annual Christmas quiz!
About the speaker
As well as being Honorary President of Bolton Archaeology and Egyptology Society, Joyce is Professor of Archaeology at Manchester University.
Joyce’s research includes Egyptian historiography and the role of women in ancient Egypt. Her current research projects include Iron from the Sky; an investigation into the use of meteoritic iron in ancient Egypt.
